Gladys comes from Toulouse from where she got her accent and love for phonetics, studying with Mr. Billières at Jean Jaurès University,
during her Master FLE.
Gladys moved to Milton Keynes in 2015 and joined the team in 2017 as a teacher.
She worked in Watling Academy - secondary school as a teaching assistant for three years.
She likes teaching French through games and engaging exercises. She creates teaching materials. Gladys enjoys walking, reading, watching
films and creative DIY.

Amandine comes from Normandy. She was a French assistant in York in 2022, and has now moved to the UK. She has a Master FLE and is an authorized examinator for DELF.
She loves to share funny words and expressions through games and engaging learning resources. Amandine enjoys crochet, pilates, and sourdough baking.

Originaire de Lyon, j'ai eu la chance de traverser la Manche en 2016 pour m'installer en Grande-Bretagne avec ma famille. J'ai alors enseigné le français dans un lycée et, à partir de 2019, j’ai poursuivi cette belle aventure tout en rejoignant l’équipe de l’Alliance Française. Je vis en France, dans la Drôme. J’anime mes cours en ligne et je reviens régulièrement à Stony pour proposer des cours intensifs ou de journées dédiées à des sessions thématiques.
Examinatrice habilitée DELF, j’accompagne des apprenants visant des compétences ciblées dans leur parcours professionnel, dans la préparation du DALF ou du test d’assimilation nécessaire à l'obtention de la nationalité française.
Passionnée de littérature, de philosophie, d'histoire et de géopolitique ; j’aime nourrir mes cours de ces thématiques qui invitent à
réfléchir, échanger, grandir.
Le sport occupe aussi une place importante dans ma vie.
DELF examinator
Claire comes from Paris and has been living in the U.K. since 2007. She worked in industry until 2017 when she retrained as a translator. She has been a director of Les Poussins French language supplementary school since 2019, helping children from bilingual families learn French. She is qualified as a DELF examiner to level C2 and has been teaching B2 junior, B2 adult and conversation classes. She loves to share her own experiences. She enjoys Pilates, swimming and reading in both French and English.

Stephanie has lived in Nice, South of France. After having studied business and intellectual property law she became a corporate lawyer, and also helped youngsters and adults with English & French private courses. She has been in Milton Keynes since January 2020 and appreciates the green spaces of the city. She is an intercultural linguist passionate about arts, languages and travel. Speaking different languages herself, Stephanie understands learners needs. Her hobbies are cooking, music, arts and studying medicine. She is qualified as a DELF examiner.

Sylvie was born in Marseille. She has been living in Milton Keynes since leaving France. Sylvie has got work experience in the computer industry as well as in teaching in primary, secondary schools and adult education. She enjoys travelling, reading and going to the theatre. She is qualified as a DELF examiner.

Isalda comes from Montpellier. She has a Master’s degree in English (University of Brest in Brittany) and obtained a PGCE in Education and Language Learning at Oxford Brookes University. She held the post of head of the language department in a large primary school for 15 years and she has taught in secondary schools.
Her teaching style is vibrant and active, engaging her learners with a wide range of activities and fun games. She also loves sharing her passion for French culture and history. Isalda enjoys travel and active sports. She spends most of her weekends riding her bicycle through the English countryside.

Mercedes was born in Belgium in a Spanish-speaking family where she caught the “language bug” and decided to make languages a way of life. She is fluent in French, Spanish, English and Portuguese, and has a fairly good command of Italian and Dutch. She has been working in adult education for 30 years now. She has been collaborating with Alliance Française Bruxelles-Europe for a number of years, teaching a wide range of face-to-face and online lessons to groups and private individuals including top managers, diplomats and ambassadors. A keen traveller. She enjoys reading, walking and baking, and has a passion for all things health and aviation. She is qualified as a DELF examiner.

Je suis professeur à l'Alliance depuis plusieurs années. D'origine britannique, j'ai travaillé trois années de suite en France et en Tunisie dans les années 80, puis j'ai vécu onze ans en Normandie au début du 21e siècle. Je suis traducteur professionnel et j'ai traduit "L'Etranger" de Camus et "Le Petit Prince" de Saint-Exupéry, entre autres. Examinateur habilité DELF.
